Description of Duties: Performs a wide variety of duties to layout and construct and repair tooling ides and fixtures to close tolerances, including fabricating parts needed by maintenance personnel and monitoring plant tooling needs.
Brief description of products and services: Stainless steel sinks for residential and commercial properties.
Brief description of tool room support equipment: Manual Vertical Mills, Manual Lathes, Madison style Surface Grinders, Blanchard style Surface Grinder a plus, Radial Arm Drill, and all related hand tools and measuring equipment to support tool & die work.
Brief description of engineering support systems and staff: Tool Engineering Group supports the designs and drawings used to build the tooling as required, however candidate may be required to work off sketches on occasion or reverse engineer.
Brief description of tooling materials: Draw, Trim, Progressive, and Form dies. Weld and assembly fixtures. Construction materials include 3V & V4 powdered tool steels, D-2, A-2, Mild steels, 4140 pre-hard, Wearform AR400, Aluminum-Bronze, Copper, Aluminum, Nylon.
