Position Open: Compound Tooling
Other Job: We are hiring both Journey-level and early career diemakers to join our staff. Scandic employs four toolmakers who build progressive dies up to 95 inches long, as well as four slide tooling, blanking dies, compound forming dies, and tooling with automatic in-die tapping.
Shift: first
Description of Duties: Repair and maintain existing metal stamping dies. Assist production with troubleshooting. If applicable, design and build new dies.
Brief description of products and services: Scandic makes custom parts such as battery contacts, EMI shielding, latches, retainers, as well as parts for the automotive, aerospace, electrical, solar industries, and more.
Brief description of tool room support equipment: Toolroom equipment includes 3 Wire EDMs, conventional mill, lathe, grinder, etc. Scandic regularly invests in new equipment.
Brief description of engineering support systems and staff: Scandic's Production Manager has 20+ years experience as a Tool and Die Maker, others have many decades of Journey level experience.
Brief description of tooling materials: A2, D2, carbide, CPM metals

Brief description of Vacation Policy: up to 4 weeks paid
