Position Open: Progressive Tooling
Other Job: A progressive and growing Tool, Die, and Metal Stamping company seeks a Tool and Die Designer of precision progressive stamping dies for medium to high-volume production of various metal products. The company’s located in Northwest Houston Texas and has been providing excellent service and complex solutions for over 50 years.
Shift: first
Description of Duties: Die Designer - Develop design layouts, flat blanks, strip layouts, blanking and forming station layouts, detailed component drawings, and assembly drawings for new tool builds, repairs, tooling modifications, and prototype development.
Brief description of products and services: Design and building of metal blanking, forming, and progressive dies.
Brief description of tool room support equipment: Full tool room with 3 EDMs, 3 CNC Mills, numerous surface grinders, heat treat ovens, numerous manual mills and lathes.
Brief description of engineering support systems and staff: Minimum of 5 years’ experience designing complex progressive stamping dies. Proficient in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). At a minimum, must be proficient in 2-D AutoCAD.
Brief description of tooling materials: Commonly used tool steel such as A2 and D2 steel grades.

Brief description of Vacation Policy: 2 weeks vacation after 90 days of service. 3 weeks vacation after 15 years of service.
